BOR, 18th JUNE, 2019 (JONGLEI)-The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) high level delegation led by deputy residence representative for South Sudan had arrived Bor.

Elliman A’jagne Deputy resident representative for UNDP said UNDP delegation will carryout an assessment on UNDP projects that are being implemented by peace partners in Greater Jonglei region both local and national partners.

“Our mission focus is mainly on what are the activities that we need to prioritize together with the government and community of Jonglei State for programs in 2019 and 2020. These are the things that we have been discussing with the government. And we are on facts finding we have received a lots of challenges priority areas from the government” Elliman narrated.

The acting governor of Jonglei state Dr. Agoot Alier Leek, acknowledged UNDP as an important partner to people of Jonglei state in the areas of development and peace building.

“We are very appreciative at the UNDP of what it have been doing here in Jonglei State and in other parts of South Sudan. Agot Alier has said.

“All the projects that are here which they are trying to visit and see; we were been working together, we were been cooperating together to see into that all these projects serve the purpose they are here for” Agot added

The delegations will be in Jonglei State for three days.
